World Broadcasters Meeting

The World Broadcasters Meeting (WBM) was held in Daegu from 15 to 16 February 2011.

Around 6.5 billion people around the world will be watching Daegu during the IAAF Championships Daegu 2011. 

This being said, a lot of things must be prepared to effectively deliver the Events content clearly and efficiently to the world. 

To assist in this, representatives from the Host Broad Caster of the IAAF Championships Daegu 2011 and Technical Sponsors gathered in Daegu. 

This meeting covered agendas including the production of the international signal, technical subjects regarding broadcasting, registration, accommodation, and freight forwarding.

The first meeting of the WBM was held in Hotel Inter-Burgo at 9:00 am on 15th Feb.

The broadcasting officials and technical sponsors from all around the world gathered during the Meeting. 

The guests were warmly welcomed during the meeting and were privy to a special screening of the Daegu guide video, an in-depth introduction of IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011, and the ins and outs of international signal production.

Jun Kim, the Director of the Competition Planning Division, briefed the broadcasting officials on the event timetable. 

The timetable is one of the most important aspects relating to broadcasting thus the officials showed great interest in his presentation.
