Bangchun Market’s MUNJEONSEONGSI Project


MUNJEONSEONGSI Project is a public policy business that strives to develop traditional markets into cultural spaces and tourist attraction.


This market became famous for its combination of culture and art.


There are two entrances in east and west with unique features respectively.


Unlike other markets, you could feel its artistic atmosphere right from the entrance.

It looks like an ordinary market but you could discover a new look if you inspect closely.

The sign of the market is a flower shape with red petals.

It’s not rare to find various types of characteristic sign boards.

And every corner of the alleys are filled with beautiful murals.

The features of the market is not just limited to the attractions to see.



People can enjoy experiences through varied activities like drawing, making accessories and picture frames and hand-printing.

Every venue has an entrance fee. It’s best to prepare in advance and do some research. 



There’s also Bangchun Market stamp tour. If you want to experience the tour, you should receive a stamp sheet from executive office before the tour.

You can find the road called “Re-drawing Kwang Seok, Kim” on one side of the market.  He was South Korean folk rock singer and song writer.  His hit song is called ‘When I am almost 30.’ and ‘A letter from private’.
