The world's fastest man, Usain Bolt of Jamaica, will be in Korea for the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011 on August 16th at 8:15 PM KST.
The 24-year-old Jamaican set world bests in 2008 and 2009 and will run the 100m in Friday's
Diamond League meeting in Monaco.
Currently, Usain Bolt is second to none in 100m and also has world record of 200m but other sprinters like Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell are not pushover.
Tyson Gay is the winner of IAAF World Championships Osaka 2007 with personal best record of 9.69 seconds and Asafa Powell also achieved world’s records twice before bolt’s appearance.
And unfortunately, US sprinter Tyson Gay will not compete at the world championships in Daegu because of a persistent hip injury.
Usain Bolt recently said in an interview that he doesn't expect to break any world records this season, but promises to go very fast at the IAAF World Championships this summer.
What will happen in men’s 100m?
Men’s 100m final will be held on Aug 28th 20:45. (Korea time)
