Team USA arrives in Daegu, South Korea



American athletes have arrived in South Korea for the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011 on August 13th.


A total of 66 men and 63 women find their names on this year’s team.


For three-time women’s 200-meter world champion Allyson Felix, the championships will be a new challenge. She will attempt a difficult double at this year’s World Championships in the 200m and 400m.


The American record holder in the 400m, Sanya Richards-Ross will defend her world title in the one-lap race.


Christian Cantwell, the world champion American shot putter, will defend his world title in the shot put.


American hurdling star David Oliver will shine in Daegu?


The men’s 110m hurdles is expected to be a exciting event with world record holder Dayron Robles of Cuba, American Champion David Oliver and Chinese star Liu Xiang competing for the gold medal.


U.S. 100m champion Carmelita Jeter is expected to arrive to Daegu on August 18.
